Sundown Festival 2009- Brown Eyed Girls

I think without a doubt, most will agree that 2009 belongs to the girl bands. There has been an explosion of girl groups- 2NE1, 4Minute, Girls Generation, Kara, After School, f(x), T-ara and of course Browned Eyed Girls. Frankly, I don't really know most of them beyond their names. But with a new singer or band appearing almost every month, (if not weeks), it's tough recognising them. And of course, it's even tougher for these artistes to have a hit and stay in the limelight.

Of all the names that I mentioned so far, the only one who has made any impression on me so far is Brown Eyed Girls.

When did I get to know them? I can't really rememeber. Maybe it was the song that Ga In did with Yung Jun of SG Wannabe. It has a Christmasy feel about it and really puts me in the mood. Just the right song to play now actually-> Must have Love.

Debuted in 2006, they did managed to capture some attention with a couple of their songs. It just occured to me that most of their songs are not the 'karaoke' type of songs, ie. you can't really sing to. Or at least I can't anyway. This is one of their earlier song- Push the line. It's loud, as are most of their songs. BUT, they looked so different then. ^^

Recently they released their 3rd album, Sound G, where songs like Glam Girl and Abracadabra became hits. Abracadabra in particular caused many tongues to wag because of it's erotic and suggestive style. All I can say is, 'Wow!'.

Their latest hit is Sign from their repackaged album, Sound G repackaged (Side track: why do they always have a repackaged album? I know the agency wants to make more money by coming up with different versions, but this really frustrates me. Anyway, that is another story). Now watch them perform live, which I feel is just as good, if not better than the mv. There is one part of their dance steps that fascinates me- when they hit their fans against their necks during the 'dot..dot..dot..' part. Isn't it painful? Anyway, I can forsee lots of fans with fans on the 12th December. Wahaha!

For me, I still like their song LOVE and my daughter agrees with me. She dances immediately when I play this song. ^^ Crossing my fingers that they will sing this song during their performance here on the 12th December

Hi, i just wanna ask.. La Coco is giving out the posters for free? Like, we just go up to their outlet & ask for a BEG poster? Or do we need to cut our hair at their salon or something before the poster is given to us? Hope you reply! Thanks!!

Hi!

Yes, La Coco will be giving away the poster free on the 13th December. You don't have to get a hair cut or buy anything from them. But you can only get the poster on that day when the salon opens and then you have to queue to get BEG signature.
Poster is limited to one per person (I have to confirm). Anyway, I will be blogging about the salon soon and will provide whatever extra information I have by then. ^^

Btw, do you know if we can pass the girls gifts like directly to them while they're signing the posters at the Brown Eyed Girls Meet & Greet Session? Thought of asking you, since you seem to have some link with the organizers or something (i think?)! ^^

Hi!

I have not check with them about this but logically, if you are getting their autograph, I'm sure it is no problem giving them the presents directly. But if you do not manage to be in the queue for their autograph, then it may be harder. If that is the case, you may have to pass to BEG managers or staff.

Can I ask, will there be A LOT of fans going down? Since they are giving only 500 posters so it means to say only 500 people will be able to get their autographs?

Hi! Obvioulsy I won't know how many fans will be there. BEG will only be able to sign as many as they can within the time they are there. The event is from 2pm to 3pm. I doubt they can sign for 500 people within one hour.

1hr?! Gosh! OK. Thanks so much for the info! The organisers didn't mention anything about no photo taking during the signing of poster?

I believe photo taking is allowed when they are there. But I'm not too sure if it is allowed during autograph signing. And if it is allowed, how it will be conducted as there are 4 of them. Obviously if you try to take group photo with all 4 of them, it will be time consuming, which would mean less fans can have their signature. I'll try and find out and post it here. ^^

Alright, noted! Thanks so much for those information ^^

Do you know the flight details of the artistes (FTI/BEG/T-MAX)? :) And just wanna ask if you're in contact with the organizers of Seoul'd Out Concert? Or maybe you're one of the organizers? ^^

Hi!
At the moment, I do not have their flight details. I will try and find out and post it here. But the organisers may not want to disclose it for security reasons. Anyway, we will know in the next few days. And yes, of course I am in contact with the organisers, otherwise I wouldn't be able to give the meet-&-greet passes on my blog. And no, I am not one of the organiser. ^^

uhm,hi...just wondering wheter...when they mean first 500 fans..do they mean during the time slot or before the time slot...cause i'm new and not veri sure how this first come thing gos about..if you you teach or gib some tips..that would be great

La Coco whas 500 posters to give away. Each person is only allowed one poster and then you will have to queue (with the poster) to get their autograph. The event is for one hour only, during which there will also be lucky draws and I guess a mini interview with BEG by Jia Fa.

So....the gist of this...BEG will sign as many as they can within the alloted time slot that they are, which obviously will not be 500, unless they can speed sign. ^^

Hello, do you have any updates on when BEG will be coming?

I went to the airport today but they didn't come. One of the organisers there told me 11.30am tomorrow but I checked, there were no flights coming from Korea at that time.

I only know that they are arriving today about 11ish. I don't have the flight number but they will have to make it to the press conference at 1.30pm.

My suggestion, if you really want to go to the airport. Don't look for direct flights from Seoul because there are no direct flights in the morning. It is most likely they will have to transit from another country and in my opinion, it is mostly likely to be a SQ flight.

But, it's just my opinion and guess. ^^ Good luck.
